Wesley Van Voorhis, MD, PhD
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Wesley Van Voorhis, MD, PhD, is Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington and Director of CERID. He leads global research on emerging infectious diseases and co-founded the Neglected Parasite Initiative to combat cryptosporidiosis. He has authored over 350 publications and advances drug development for neglected tropical diseases.
Kayode K. Ojo, PhD
RESEARCH GROUP LEADER
Kayode K. Ojo, PhD, is a Research Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, he leads NIH-funded research on cryptosporidiosis and other parasitic diseases. A mentor and diversity advocate, he is widely published and active in advancing drug discovery for neglected tropical diseases.
Timothy Rapuano, MS
Program Director
Tim is a quality assurance, clinical research and project management professional with over 15 years of experience across academia and industry. He serves as President of ORCA and as a Research Coordinator at the University of Washington Sexual Health Clinic, and co-founded the Neglected Parasite Initiative to advance solutions for cryptosporidiosis.






Tomas Muscionico
CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER
Tomas “Tomo” Muscionico is a Swiss-born photographer who has documented global events in over 60 countries, capturing figures like Mandela and Kofi Annan. Now based on the U.S. West Coast, he co-founded ZERO.initiative to drive impact through storytelling, innovation, and sustainability, connecting people and sparking change worldwide.
